Technicien internship


Objectives:
You will benefit from the expertise of a first year engineering student, initiated in the technical basics of textiles and working as an assistant technician. 
Various subject areas can be addressed during the internship, such as:
  • Quality control: laboratory tests, inspection of sample materials, colorimetry, drawing up of specifications 
  • Sampling and production monitoring
  • Creation of a material and fibre library 
  • Participation in the production of a collection 
  • Organisation of workflow, etc.
Time period: At the end of the year, for 2 months, between mid-June and mid-September.

Engineering internship


Objectives:
You will benefit from the expertise of a second year engineering student, in technical or techno-economic project work (which is generally undertaken by engineers).                                            
Examples of subject areas:
  • Product development: specifications, research of raw materials, customer contact
  • Product optimisations, workflow, organisation of roles
  • Design office, CAD
  • Implementation of SPC (statistical process control)
  • Formulation optimisation (chemistry, ennoblement), tests
Time period: Duration 3 months, from the beginning of June to the end of September. 
  
You can also offer an internship to a foreign student.

Final Year Project (P.F.E.)


Objectives:
You will benefit from the expertise of a final year student engineer who is in the process of undertaking their project. The student will be assisted by outside parties. This project comprises scientific, technological or techno-economic aspects and will enable you to evaluate the abilities of a (potential) future employee. If requested, the graduate school will administer subject confidentiality on a contractual basis. 
Examples of project subject areas: 
  • Development of 3D reinforced composites
  • Camera control system for non-woven materials 
  • Thermoregulating microcapsules
  • Dilution and capillary action of technical yarns - Influence of atmospheric pressure plasma treatment
  • Correlation between objective and subjective evaluations in the feel of fabrics... 
Time period: full-time, 18-25 weeks, from mid-February until the end of June or mid-September.

Offer a final year project internship from September until January prior to the undertaking of the project.
