Research tax credit

Research tax credit (CIR) is a tax reduction based on company R&D expenditures.  It is a tax which is deductible on income tax or corporate income tax owed by companies in the year the expenditures were incurred.

It is therefore a form of tax assistance, intended to support and encourage research and development efforts of companies, whatever their business activity, size or organisation.

The aim of this tool is to:

  • Strengthen the competitiveness of businesses across research and public and private partnerships
  • Serve as a lever to maximise innovation
  • Encourage businesses to hire training staff and staff with scientific expertise.

The ENSAIT engineering school, recognised as a research organisation, will enable the doubling of outsourced expenditure.
