Why choose us ?

6 reasons for choosing ENSAIT

As the leading textile training programme in Europe, ENSAIT is accredited by the CTI (French engineering accreditation institution) and is a member of the CGE (Conférence des Grandes Écoles). Today, ENSAIT’s engineering diploma is recognised internationally.

  • 120 engineering graduates a year and more than 500 job openings for recent graduates
  • 43% of recent graduates become Research and Development Engineers
  • 17% of recent graduates choose to work abroad, all work in international oriented business
  • 36K annual gross starting salary

One of ENSAIT’s main objectives is to promote international exchanges and to enable all engineering students to gain experience abroad. More than 300 companies worldwide place their trust in ENSAIT and welcome engineering interns to undertake their final year project or to follow an apprenticeship training programme. Finally, traditional education programmes enable every student to study for a semester at one of approximately fifty universities located throughout the world.

Textiles are everywhere: in transport (automotive industry, aeronautics, the rail network), on our roads (geotextiles), in homes (buildings, furnishings). Textiles are the showpiece of all future sectors of French industry. They protect (PPE for defence and armaments), facilitate a variety of leisure activities (sports), care (medical textiles) and clothe (fashion, luxury).

ENSAIT offers its engineers the certainty of exciting and varied professions: professions in quality, logistics, R&D, production and the business sector... all demanding discipline and creativity.

ENSAIT welcomes students who have obtained the baccalaureate and have reached second year university level, enabling them to access a diploma in engineering through 3 options:

  • Traditional education: this high level training programme focuses on both the business world (10 month internship) and an international experience (a minimum of a 12 week compulsory placement abroad). A second year option enables a career path towards either technical textiles or distribution.
  • The block release training programme enables 26 apprentice engineers of each class year to gain supervised and paid experience for 3 years in business and to be fully prepared for work on leaving the graduate school.

  • Accreditation of Prior and Experiential Learning

After obtaining their diploma, 20% of ENSAIT’s engineers decide to continue their studies and choose a specialism, this is why ENSAIT has established a significant number of partnerships with renowned graduate schools:

  • Advanced Masters Degree in Management and Fashion Innovation - ENSAIT / Institut Français de la Mode / IAE, Lille

  • Masters Degree in Materials and Surface Engineering (IMS) - ENSAIT / Arts et Métiers ParisTech / ECAM / University of Alabama (USA)

  • Masters Degree in Industrial Systems Engineering with a specialism in Materials and Textile Processes - ENSAIT / Lille 1 University

  • Advanced Masters Degree in Business Creation – ENSAIT / Ecole Centrale de Lille / Skema / Ecole des Mines de Douai

  • Doctoral Thesis - ENSAIT / Lille 1 University
