study abroad
for ensait students
ENSAIT is a partner of 50 universities worldwide. All engineering students spend at least one semester on these international exchanges.
More than 300 companies from all over the world also welcome ENSAIT engineering students for a long-term internship or for their end-of-study project.
Each student internationalises his or her professional curriculum and learns to master a foreign language. Essential!

A day of partner presentations is organised in November each year (more than a year before the mobility). This is an opportunity for third year students returning from mobility to share their experiences with and newly arrived first year students through slide shows, films, photos, comments, “typical” timetables.
As a follow-up to this day (between November and March), the country tutors (academic/scientific referent teacher-researchers from one or more universities) present the partners they are in charge of to the students interested in the destination.
The application file is usually submitted in February, an email is sent each year in November to determine the deadline for submission.
For the selection, the following will be taken into account:
- results in languages (English + LV2): 25%.
- academic results (E1, semesters 1+2): 50%.
- interview with the country tutor: 25%.
Double diplomas
The double diploma is awarded after the second year at ENSAIT and allows you to obtain the ENSAIT diploma as well as that of the partner university after another two years at a foreign partner university. In other words, 4 years of study (instead of 3) for two diplomas.

Internships and graduation projects
One of the main objectives of ENSAIT is to promote international exchanges and to enable all students to gain experience abroad.
More than 300 companies from all over the world place their trust in ENSAIT and welcome engineering students on internships, end-of-study projects or as part of the apprenticeship programme!
They have a double purpose:
- to lead you into engineering behavior,
- bring you the knowledge of the textile industry or distribution, of the business world.
You will learn how to manage a team and a project.

Gap year
A gap is a period during which a student suspends his or her university studies to gain personal or professional experience either independently or with a host organisation abroad. This option is open to motivated ENSAIT students who wish to carry out a project linked to the academic, university or professional career of a future engineer. The gap encourages the student’s personal development.
It is the legislation of the host country which must apply in the relations between the student and the host organisation, including in the case of a training course that is disjoined from his or her original training.

"n+i" Network
ENSAIT is a member of the “n+i” network, an association of French Engineering Grandes Ecoles which have chosen to pool their international cooperation actions in order to facilitate the recruitment and reception of foreign students in France as well as their students’ stays abroad.
The “n+i” Network offers international students personalized support tailored to their needs.
It also encourages its members to establish cooperation agreements with higher education institutions around the world to enable their own students to achieve academic mobility.
Students can apply for a period of study or internship abroad (in a laboratory or company) in agreement with the host institution.
A single, free registration allows you to apply in one go to all the Grandes Ecoles of Engineering members of the “n+i” Network.
